Hunting Boat Commendation in Sea of Thieves: It is said that the Hunting Boat Commendation in Sea of Thieves will require you to take on 25 enemies with Cannon Rowboat.
To determine how far you are with this Commendation, visit the Pirate Log in the menu and choose Reputation, Bilge Rats, and then Buried Treasures.

Hunting Boat will be in the middle of the row at the bottom in the first section. This guide will give you methods and instructions on how to submit this Commendation.
Find a Cannon Rowboat
Cannon Rowboats were added to Sea of Thieves as part of Season Five. They’re like the normal Rowboats; however, they feature a giant Cannon attached to the front.
As with Rowboats, Cannon Rowboats will appear randomly on islands throughout each Map (except outposts and Seaports).
You’ll have to find the Cannon Rowboat by sailing around the Map and then looking out for the shores of islands, or you could steal one from a crew.
When you’ve found one, move it towards the back of your vessel and then press the Dock Rowboat prompt, which appears to connect your Cannon Rowboat onto your ship.
The docking location of Cannon on the right or left side of your boat Cannon on the right or left side is dependent on the direction it faces when docking it.
Defeat 25 Enemies
It doesn’t matter what type of enemy you fight to earn the Hunting boat Commendation. So feel at ease firing on Sirens, Skeletons, Ocean Crawlers, and other players who are in the way and more.
The most secure firing method is from behind your boat when the Cannon Rowboat is docked. The Cannon Rowboat being unloaded makes you a more vulnerable target, and you’ll be faced with knockback whenever you fire when there’s nobody to stop the car when you row.
Two simple strategies to take down your opponents are:
- To play PvE – Take on the Order of Souls Bounty Voyage or any other quest that will generate many enemies. You can have one of your crew members gather them at the shore, or you can group them yourself and then run through Cannon Rowboat. Cannon Rowboat to your vessel. Then, shoot your enemies on the Cannon Rowboat while they’re in a group. Repeat the process.
- For PvP, It’s dangerous, but you should attempt to connect with the other players you meet within the Sea of Thieves. Make use of voice or text chat to talk (if you’re comfortable with it) and then propose to assist them in getting their Commendation too.
If they are willing, shoot and kill each other using your Cannon Rowboat until you’ve completed the Commendation.
