CSK beat RCB by 23 runs to win their first game of the tournament.

In the 15th Indian Premier League on Tuesday, the Chennai Super Kings beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs. Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa played brilliantly with the bat, and the spinners also did very well. Dube (95 not out) and Uthappa (88 off 50 balls) both made half-centuries when asked to bat. They made a 165-run stand, the highest third-wicket partnership of all time and the highest this season.

When RCB tried to fight back, the young spinner Mahesh Theekshana (4/33) and the captain Ravindra Jadeja (3/39) took seven wickets between them. This was CSK’s 200th IPL game.

There have been four straight losses for the defending champions, but this win ended that. This was only their second loss to the Bangalore team in five games.
