Kolkata National Medical College Stopped new admission due to Oxygen shortage.

A lot of Covid patients already in the hospital need daily oxygen. And, It is not possible to give additional oxygen to new patients. So Kolkata National Medical College hospital stopped recent admission of Corona patients from today.

Daily Covid 19 cases in West Bengal are increasing rapidly. The number of new victims has risen by Kolkata in last week.

National Medical College is a vital hospital in Kolkata in this situation. But, they are also facing an oxygen shortage like other states of the country. However, hospital authorities assure they will resolve the issue very soon, and the new admission for Covid patients will start again.

According to the hospital authority, 150 Covid patient’s treatments are undergoing for the last two days. Yesterday, the hospital authority realized that they would have an oxygen shortage very soon.

When the families of those patients realized the situation, they started to panic badly. Few of them told us that” the condition was so critical, anytime somebody could die due to the oxygen unavailability.

Meanwhile, many patients died within few days just of the oxygen shortage. The patients of those families also told us that they are ready to pay anything to save their near one’s life.

However, the hospital official assured them later that they will manage a few extra oxygen cylinders to fulfill the requirement.
