On Monday, in a fresh health update for the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, her doctor
announced that the superstar was at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and checked her
condition.
Dr. Pratit Samdani is the doctor treating the Bharat Ratna patient at Mumbai’s Breach
Candy Hospital, along with the update said that “she is taking some time to recover due to
her age.”
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the hospital following her admission after being
diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia only a few days back.
She contacted one of her employees, who were also positive for COVID-19.
In the wake of learning about Lata Mangeshkar’s condition, many people from the film
industry and other areas were on social media to pray for her quick recovery.
“Prayers for your speedy recovery @mangeshkarlata,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.
The singer was admitted to the hospital in 2019 for severe lung disease and pneumonia.
