Latest position of cyclone yaas towards Ranchi

As per the josh cyclone track, the latest position of cyclone yaas is near Bundu in Jharkhand. Perhaps, the cyclone is losing its strength as its landfall 24 hours ago in Odisha. At present, the storm Yash speed is around 45 kilometers per hour.

However, the live status of cyclone yaas is moving towards Ranchi, Jharkhand. The storm weakens a lot, and it won’t damage anymore. But, it will the cause of heavy rain during the upcoming 2-3 days.

Cyclone Yaas did not impact Kolkata as much Amphan cyclone did in the last year. The cyclone josh made landfall near Digha at 9.45 AM on May 26, 2021. During the storm Yash, sea waves were 3-5 feet high in the coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal.

Many areas flooded due to the seawater overflowed in Odisha along with heavy rain. Similarly, a vast area flooded East Midnapore and South 24 Parganas. The river of Sundarban overflowed, and the water plundered the surrounding area of South 24 Parganas.

In this situation, North Bengal and South Bengal may face heavy to weighty rains today. Not only today, but the rain will also continue till May 29. According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the weather will change again from the 30th.

According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in Bankura, Jhargram, South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hughli, Kolkata, East Burdwan, Nadia, Purulia, Murshidabad, Malda, Kalimpong, and Darjeeling districts. 

Under the influence of Yash, strong winds will blow in Jhargram and West Midnapore.
