Linn Grant is the first woman to win on DP World Tour.

Linn Grant became the first woman to win on the DP World Tour on Sunday at Halmstad Golf Club in Sweden. The 22-year-old Swede, a member of the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour, was perfect in her triumph at the 2022 Scandinavian Mixed, lapping the field in the process. Grant won by nine strokes over co-tournament host Henrik Stenson and Scotland’s Marc Warren after signing for rounds of 66-68-66-64.

Grant stated her historic victory, “I just hope that more people acknowledge women’s golf.” “The LET attracts more sponsors than the men’s tour, which boosts the women’s game even more.”

Grant quickly dominated a field of 78 men and 78 women. Grant, who entered the final round with a two-stroke lead, recorded birdies on five of her first six holes, leaving Jason Scrivener and the rest of the field with little chance. Grant has 26 birdies and an eagle on her way to a score of 24 under par for the week.

Grant’s triumph in her native nation gives her seven global titles this year. She won $30,000 for her most recent LET victory in Belgium a few weeks ago, and she will now get a cheque for more than $300,000 for her pains in Sweden.

Grant, the only woman in the field to place in the top ten, was asked whether she was particularly motivated to defeat the males this week.
