Noida: A major fire breaks out in Noida, Wednesday night at a private company building, prompting the evacuation of more than 100 people from the site, police said.
The fire was reported around 6.15 pm from the firm located in Industrial Sector 59 and controlled around 9 pm, they said.

“A total of 17 firefighters were put into service to put out the flame, while the local police force was also deployed to the scene to assist in relief work,” according to a police statement at 8.30 pm.
“There were no reports of damage to anyone during the fire during which 102 people were evacuated from the building to safety. Approximately 90 percent of the fire has been controlled and is being operated to put it out completely, ”he said.
After about half an hour, the police said the fire was fully under control.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known and an assessment of the loss had not yet been conducted, police said.
