MP: Hindu Mahasabha to make the Godse statue with Ambala prison floor

MP: Hindu Mahasabha to make the Godse statue with Ambala prison floor.

The Hindu Mahasabha has said that he will make a statue of Nathuram Godse from earth brought from Haryana’s Ambala central jail, where Mahatma Gandhi’s murderer was hanged in 1949.

The right-wing organization’s comments came on Monday as it celebrated the anniversary of Godse’s death.

“Mahasabha activists brought the dirt from Ambala jail last week, where Godse and Narayan Apte were executed. This floor will be used to make the Godse and Apte statues and they will be installed in Mahasabha’s office in Gwalior, ”the organization’s national vice president, Dr. Jaiveer Bharadwaj, told reporters.

Mahasabha activists installed the statues of Godse and Apte at ‘Balidhan Dham’ in Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) on Monday, he said.

“We will build that Balidan Dham in every state,” he added.

He further said that the Gwalior district administration had confiscated Godse’s bust (installed in Mahasabha’s office here) in 2017, but that so far it has not been returned.

Bharadwaj also alleged that Congress was responsible for the partition of the country (in 1947) that resulted in large-scale killings of people.

Meanwhile, Gwalior Additional Police Superintendent Satyendra Singh Tomar said there was no public Hindu Mahasabha program here on Monday.

So far no statues have been installed and police are monitoring the team’s activities, he said.
