Mumbai Actor Accused Of Getting Vaccine Out Of Turn.

A Mumbai-based actress has denied allegations that she used a fake ID to receive a Covid vaccine out of a shift at a civic health center in Thane. The authorities have ordered an investigation into the incident.

Meera Chopra is accused of using false identification to get vaccinated as a ‘frontline worker’. She falls into the age group of 18 to 44 years. Maharashtra has suspended vaccination for the age group due to dose shortages.

She had uploaded a photo on social media of herself receiving the shot. Since then, the photograph has been removed, but others emerged that displayed an “identification card” identifying her as a “front-line worker.”

Ms Chopra has denied the allegations, saying that “the identification floating on social media is not mine.”

Opponent BJP has claimed that Ms. Chopra received a photo ID identifying her as a “supervisor” in a private company, allowing her to get vaccinated as a priority.
