Naresh Kumar, a senior IAS officer, has been named Chief Secretary of Delhi

Naresh Kumar, a top IAS officer, has been named the chief secretary of Delhi, a home ministry order said on Tuesday.

He is a 1987-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer who moved from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi. Before he was forced, he was the chief secretary of Arunachal Pradesh.

In response to Vijay Dev’s voluntary retirement, Naresh Kumar IAS (AGMUT:1987) is now the chief secretary of the GNCTD. The order says that he will start on April 21, 2022, or whichever comes first as soon as he joins.

Formerly, Kumar was NDMC chairman and DTC managing director when he was in charge at his old job in Delhi.
