There will not be a zero hour on 1st and 31st January 2022, the two first days of session 8
of 17th Lok Sabha, due to the address by The President of both houses gathered together
and the presentation of Union Budget 2022-23.
Presidency Ram Nath Kovind will address an all-party session of both houses of Parliament
on January 31, in the morning of the budget session.
On February 1st Financial Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget.
In a recent report from ANI, The two houses – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are expected to
discuss the motion of thanks to the President.

Sources in the report noted that there is a possibility that the Lok Sabha could take up the
the issue on February 2,3,4, 7, and 8, while the Rajya Sabha may take the discussions on
February 2,3,7 and 8.
The report further stated that PM Narendra Modi could reply to the debate regarding the
the motion of thanks for the President’s address on February 7 in the Lok Sabha and on
February 8 in the Rajya Sabha.
The President’s address spells forth the Central government’s policies, priorities, and plans
for those who aren’t familiar with the speech.
