Rahul Dravid predicts that India may win 3-2 in England

Rahul Dravid predicts that India may win 3-2 in England.

Heavy hitter Rahul Dravid acknowledges that India will prevail 3-2 over England in this summer’s away test series and sees it as the visitors’ “best chance” to win in the UK since 2007. However, Rahul Dravid is the last Indian captain who wins a test series in England.

“I really think India has a very good opportunity this time,” Dravid said during a webinar, according to ‘ESPNcricinfo’.

The webinar was organized by Live Aid India, trust to help those affected by COVID-19.

Dravid, who is now the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, said that Ravichandran Ashwin against Ben Stokes could form an “interesting subplot” for what is expected to be an intriguing series.

“There’s no question about his (England) bowling alley. Whatever bowling attack England put into the park, especially their sewing bowling attack, it will be fantastic. They have a lot of players to choose from and that’s going to be fantastic.

“But if you look at his top six or top seven, you really think of a great hitter, a world-class hitter who is Joe Root.

“Obviously Ben Stokes is someone else, who is a good all-rounder, but for whatever reason, Ashwin seems to do well against him. And that should be an interesting contest. I know he’s done well against him (Stokes) in India, but it will still be an interesting subplot for the show. ”

But an Indian team, supported by their historic triumph in Australia and the series victory at home against England, will certainly enjoy their chances.

“A couple of players have been to England several times, this time there is a lot of experience in the batting order, so this is probably our best chance, maybe let’s say 3-2 to India,” Dravid said.

Rahul Dravid also said that India has plenty of time to prepare them for the matches.
