Samsung Galaxy M42 5G can Launch in India Soon

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Samsung Galaxy A42 5G have reportedly been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting an imminent launch in India. The Galaxy M42 5G has yet to be released and there have been some rumors about the smartphone. However, the Galaxy A42 5G was launched in the US in September of last year. It should be noted that Samsung has not shared any information about the launch of the Galaxy M42 5G or Galaxy A42 5G in India.

According to a report By MySmartPrice, both the rumored Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Galaxy A42 5G have been spotted on the BIS website. The list does not show any specs for the two phones or any details about it, except for model numbers and dual SIM support. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is said to have been listed with model number SM-M426B / DS, while Samsung Galaxy A42 5G may come with model number SM-A426B / DS.

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certification websites, suggesting that the phone could be a Galaxy A42 5G under the new name. It was also seen on the 3C certification website in November 2020. The Galaxy M42 5G could be the first Galaxy M-series phone to come with 5G when it launches in India.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A42 5G was launched in September last year in selected regions. At the time, the company did not share pricing or specifications for the phone. Then, about a month later, its specs and pricing were revealed. The phone features a 6.6-inch HD + Super AMOLED screen and is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. It includes a quad rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter. The Galaxy A42 5G is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W fast charging.
