Rajasthan Minister of parliamentary affairs Shanti Dhariwal’s brash remarks in trying to justify the rising number of rape incidents in the state have provoked the ire of the opposition.
In the face of opposition and criticism, the minister has apologized for his remarks, insisting it was a “slip of the tongue.”
The minister responded to a query about the need for more funds, grants, and services by officers in increasing sexual assault cases. At that point, he made a disparaging statement.

“I was answering a question on the grants given to the police department when some unfortunate words came out of my mouth; I realised my mistake and asked for my remarks to be deleted. It was a slip of the tongue for which I apologize,” said the man. declared in a correction.

The opposition quickly protested, and the speaker directed the comments to be removed, which means they would not be recorded in the public domain or be published in any publication.
