Sonia Gandhi, the interim head of the Congress, called for immediate organizational reforms on Friday, emphasizing that “exceptional problems can only be tackled in extraordinary ways” as the party faces an unprecedented predicament.
Mrs. Gandhi stated in her inaugural speech at Udaipur’s ‘Chintan Shivir,’ “The organization is in uncharted territory. Reforms and strategic modifications are desperately needed. Only exceptional people can deal with extraordinary conditions.”
“The party has provided us with much; now it is time to repay the obligation. She stated that personal expectations must be managed in the organization’s best interests,” she said, reaffirming her prior Congress Working Committee statement.

She also urged the Chintan Shivir delegates to voice their views freely inside the party, emphasizing that just one message should be sent outside, namely, “the message of the organization’s strength and togetherness.”
She also accused the BJP of inciting hostility and division in the nation, and she singled out Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on critical topics.
“PM Modi, who is known for his speeches, is silent on the subjects that need to be addressed the most. The country is on fire with hate, and the repercussions will be disastrous, far beyond our wildest dreams. The citizens of the nation want peace and harmony. However, the BJP continues to fan the flames of hate, “she said
“PM Modi’s much-talked-about maximum governance, minimum government’ slogan focuses on maintaining an atmosphere of polarization in the country, surrounding people with fear and insecurity, committing atrocities against minorities, destroying unity in diversity by dividing people,” the Congress interim president said.
She also said that the government of the United States utilizes investigative agencies to smear political opponents.
“Gandhi’s assassins have been lauded. There are attempts to discredit our leaders. In particular, Jawaharlal Nehru is being attacked, “The interim president of Congress said.
Sonia Gandhi also pressed the administration on the problem of unemployment and inflation, claiming that the environment of hostility was affecting the economy.
Following Sonia Gandhi’s address, Congress leaders from throughout the nation will meet in a hotel in Udaipur for two days to brainstorm on different subjects. The results will be disclosed on the final day of Chintan Shivir.
On Friday, Congress leader Ajay Maken declared that Congress would develop a new department for on-the-ground input and that the “One family, One ticket” rule would be applied.
The Chintan Shivir is being hosted after the party’s humiliation in state assembly elections earlier this year. In the last eight years, the party has suffered some electoral defeats. Some influential members of Congress have resigned.
