Sonia Gandhi will remain party president

After a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Sunday, March 13, the party said that Sonia Gandhi would lead the grand old party and stay in the role of the party president.

“She will lead us and make decisions about the future. We all believe that she will be a good leader.”

After the party’s working committee meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge told ANI that the party was going to do something about it.

She held the meeting of the Congress Working Committee today at the AICC office.

They talked about how the party failed to win in all five states and the current political situation.

“She (Sonia Gandhi) is still the leader of the party. A lot of time was spent talking about the elections in the 5 states. We talked about how to move forward and how to get ready for the next election. People who work for the AICC in Goa” told ANI after the party’s CWC meeting.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Ambika Soni, Salman Khurshid, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and many other leaders were at the CWC meeting and other people.

Internal polling issues could be brought up again by the G-23 dissident leaders, who have asked about the leadership and pushed for an organizational change, they say.

Ashok Gehlot, the CM of Rajasthan, said that the Gandhi family is essential to the Congress, and Rahul Gandhi should lead the party.
