Street Fighter 6 will be announced next week: Although Street Fighter is one of the longest-running and most well-known fighting game franchises. There are just two mainline entries from the franchise. In 2016, Street Fighter 5 is the latest installment. With the most recent major update due in 2020’s Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition release.
But, Capcom appears to planning to announce a significant announcement coming shortly. That could become the next installment in the series.
Street Fighter 5 launch in 2016 on PC and PlayStation 4. Eight years after the release of Street Fighter 4 and the only mainline out of the series following 1997’s Street Fighter 3.
The game initially release to mixed reviews. Both gamers and critics awe by the game’s design. But disappoint over the absence of content and the roster comprising 16 characters.
Later DLC packs, together with the Arcade Edition and Champions Edition, responded to these complaints, offering a new gameplay balance and an active roster with 46 characters.
Rumors of a Street Fighter 6 announcement were reported on Twitter following Capcom’s timer for the countdown at its website.
Street Fighter 6 will announce next week
Although Capcom has not provided any details regarding the purpose of the timer Games. Journalist Jeff Grubb said the timer could be a precursor to the fighting game’s official announcement.
On the most recent show of his radio program, GrubbSnax, An insider from Capcom, informed him of the upcoming Street Fighter 6 announcement but didn’t provide any information about a release date or the platforms.
Grubb’s remarks quickly made their way onto Twitter. The tweets have been shared numerous times by Street Fighter players.
If the response in Twitter to Grubb’s remarks is anything like what it seems. This is a sign that both Street Fighter fans and the entire fight game community excite to see a Street Fighter 6 announcement.
Some may argue that this is a sign of a need to see a brand new. Complete installment in the series that will kick it in the rear following six seasons of Street Fighter 5.
Players might have a question about whether Street Fighter 6 will exclusive to consoles or released on different platforms. This is why Sony secured Street Fighter 5 as the PS4 complete and PC as the only alternative platform to buy the game.
If Street Fighter 6 were to become exclusively available on consoles. It wouldn’t unsurprising to receive protests in fans of the Street Fighter community regardless of whether the console exclusivity is scheduled.
