130 Arrested for Rave Party in Hassan district of Karnataka
Police have detained 130 people for allegedly participating in a rave party at a farm on the outskirts of Alur taluk in the district, official sources said Sunday.
Police, acting on a tip, raided the scene Saturday night and seized liquor, marijuana, and other narcotic substances from the scene, sources said.
Those attending the party include people from Bangalore, Mangaluru, Goa, and elsewhere. The vehicles of the assistants have also been seized.
The farm owner has been arrested and cases have been recorded, they said.
With the government enforcing a night curfew on Bangalore and seven other district headquarters, people are said to have gathered at the estate for the party.
Blood tests have been performed and further action would follow, the sources said, adding that COVID-19 regulations have also been violated.
