182 new local Covid-19 cases in Singapore.
On Tuesday (July 20), Singapore had reported 182 new cases of COVID19 infection, of which 142 were related to the Jurong Fishing Port Group.
However, it makes the total no of Covid cases in Singapore, 321, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its nightly update.
Fourteen more Covid 19 cases have been traced to the KTV cluster, bringing the total number of cases to 207.
Among the new cases announced Tuesday, 156 are linked to previous infections, 81 already quarantined, and 75 detected through surveillance tests.
The final 26 infections aren’t related to preceding instances, the Health Ministry said.
Two of the brand new instances are humans over the age of 70 who had been now no longer vaccinated and are prone to extreme illness, the ministry added.
There had been thirteen imported infections, which had been located on a stay-at-domestic word or remoted upon arrival. Therefore, seven advanced the ailment for the duration of the stay-at-domestic or isolation caution period had detected six instances upon arrival in Singapore.
In all, Singapore reported 195 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
It is the highest number of daily Covid cases since July 10 of last year, when it detected 191 infections.
2 MORE MARKETS CLOSED
The Haig Road & Food Center Market and the Chong Pang Market will be closed to the public for two weeks, from July 21 to August 4, after 35 cases of COVID-19 were detected.
Twenty-five of them were detected among people working or visiting the Haig Road market and food center, while 10 cases were linked to the Chong Pang market.
The infections were discovered as part of Ministry of Health investigations into cases involving markets and food centers likely stocked by fishmongers who visited the Jurong fishing port.
The Health Ministry also announced that it would extend the free Covid-19 testing to people who visited the Chong Boon Market and Food Center between July 3-17.
Chong Boon Market and Food Center, Chong Pang Market, Haig Road Market, and Food Center, and Hong Lim Market and Food Center have been listed as groups linked to the port group. Jurong fishing boat.
Markets with three or more cases linked to the Jurong Fishing Port cluster are Clementi 448 Market and Food Center, 726 West Coast Wet Market, and Whampoa Wet Market.
There are 28 markets or food centers with less than three cases linked to the Jurong fishing port cluster. Among them are Amoy Street Food Center, Geylang Bahru Market and Tekka Center.
