2 Ohio lawmakers introduce Texas-style abortion restriction.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Two Republican lawmakers in Ohio introduced Texas-style legislation that could end all abortions in the state.

State Representatives Jena Powell and Thomas Hall released their bill on Tuesday, a day after the US Supreme Court heard arguments about the Texas model law.

The judges are deciding whether to allow a legal challenge to proceed.

The measure subjects clinics, doctors, and anyone else who facilitates abortions to heavy financial penalties linked to lawsuits that citizens could file against them, and makes it difficult to formulate legal challenges.

The fact that the woman wanted an abortion is not a defense against litigation.
