2 Terrorist Attacks in Kashmir kill civilian and police officer. 

Terrorists staged 2 attacks on Kashmir just 30 mins apart from one another this morning, killing a police officer and a civilian. 

In the first attack, innocent civilians living in the Merjanpora area in District Srinagar, located in the central region of Kashmir, was at the center of Kashmir was targeted. 

He was hit from a distance of only a few yards on the head and severely injured. He was taken to SMHS hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.

A Kashmir Zone police have confirmed the death of the. A police officer confirmed the death, “Terrorists fired upon a civilian namely, Rouf Ahmad at Merjanpora, Eidgah PS Safakadal, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SMHS hospital, where he was declared dead. A case has been registered, and investigations are on.”

Another attack occurred in Bijbehara near the police station in the Anantnag district in south Kashmir. 

In Bijbehara, terrorists pounded indiscriminately at one police officer, injuring him severely. The officer was struck by four bullets and identified as an assistant sub-inspector, Mohammed Ashraf. 

He was transferred to a local hospital, but since he was critically ill, the doctor referred him to the Srinagar hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately, the cop died from his injuries before reaching his destination at Srinagar hospital.

It was reported that the Kashmir zone police initially tweeted, “Terrorists shot indiscriminately, and seriously injured a police officer ASI Mohd Ashraf of PS Bijbehara, Anantnag. The injured man was taken to Srinagar hospital in Srinagar for treatment. The area has been cordoned off. Additional details will be provided.” 

Then, in an update to their tweet, the police confirmed the death. “Injured ASI Mohd Ashraf succumbed to his injuries and was able to attain martyrdom. We are with his family at this crucial point.”

Shortly after the attacks, the area was sealed off in both locations, and searches were initiated to find the perpetrators. The terrorist group, TRF via social networks, has claimed responsibility for both attacks. 

There is, however, no definitive confirmation that the group orchestrated the attacks.
