25 People Dies In Boat Accident In Bangladesh.

As the local police said, around 25 people died after a collision between two boats in central Bangladesh on Monday.

The collision occurred between a packed ship carrying at least 30 passengers and a ship carrying sand on the Padma River near the town of Shibchar.

The number of death may increase as more people were reported missing. Locals people and govt authorities continued rescue operations. As Bangladesh is a land of rivers, this type of accident is common there.

Experts blame poor maintenance, lax shipyard safety standards, and overcrowding for many of the accidents.

a few days earlier, more than 30 people were killed when a ferry sunk with around 50 passengers rushing home from the central city of Narayanganj before an impending coronavirus lockdown collided with a larger cargo ship.
