9 people were killed and 2 injured when a wall came crashing down in Lucknow after heavy rain in the last 24 hours.
The wounded have been taken to the Civil Hospital, where the medical staff has determined they are safe.
“In the Dilkusha region, some laborers were living in huts outside of an Army enclave. The Army enclave’s perimeter wall fell due to heavy overnight rainfall, “Piyush Mordia, the joint commissioner of police for law and order, said PTI.

After a night of nonstop rain, an order was issued at 4 am, ordering all schools closed.
Additionally, several locations have received an orange category heavy rainfall warning.
Almost as much rain fell on Lucknow in one day as in an entire month. In the previous 24 hours, the city received 155.2 mm of precipitation.
For the whole month of September, Lucknow typically gets 197 mm of rain on average.
Waterlogging has also been a result of the hefty rainfall in several regions.
