In light of the first phase of Assembly elections taking place for the first phase of Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the liquor shops along the Delhi border are located within 100 meters of neighboring Ghaziabad, and Noida will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Dry days are observed (before the start of the voting day) starting at 6 pm on February 8 through February 10 until the close of the voting period and on the day of counting on March 10, as per a notice sent out from the Excise Commissioner in Delhi was issued by the Excise Commissioner of Delhi.

The order will be obligatory for all licensees in the Excise department whose retail vends or establishments are located within 100 meters of Delhi, close to the border between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh within Delhi’s National Capital Territory of Delhi The notice also states that the order will be mandatory for all licensees.

It is important to note that Uttar Pradesh will go to the elections in seven phases from February 10 and 7 March.

The voting in during the first phase will take place within Ghaziabad along with Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) districts on February 10.
