A Halo 3 fan makes an incredible sniper rifle prop:  In 2007, Halo 3 release to gamers with the Xbox 360. Halo 3 was a massive hit for Microsoft and one of the Halo franchise’s best-respected games. 

Although plenty of reasons led to its success, it influence by the variety of thrilling Covenant or UNSC weapons available for use in the battle. One of the most famous guns used on the battlefield was the Sniper rifle. 

Recently, a player set out to create replicas of this famous weapon in the real world.

In an article on Reddit, one of the users known as Omar-ZX7 posted a photo of a new 3D printed object they designed. It was not a typical project since the Reddit user attempted to replicate the sniper gun employed in the game by Master Chief of Halo 3.

 In the picture posted by the maker, the gun shown on a couch and showed the size of the 3D printed object.

Many of the components found in the Halo 3 sniper are present in this 3D-printed model. 

It included, for instance, an unusually long barrel. It also had a magnifying scope attached to the top of the barrel and an elongated bipod on its bottom. 

The weapon paint in a gray color and had authentic weathering on the replica. Which gave an original appearance.

Apart from showing off the design in a photo, Omar-ZX7 provided some information about the process of creating the sniper in his comment section. 

As per the Reddit user that an Ender 3 v2 3D printer use in conjunction with PLA+ filament. However they pointed out that parts with a tendency to break, such as the handle and bipod, printed with PETG instead.

 Once they’d succeeded in 3D printing the sniper’s sniper’s hood and handle, they applied acrylic paint to complete the design. After everything complete, the plan was a little over three weeks, and printing the sniper took about 50 hours.

Not surprisingly, many users from the Halo community on Reddit were impressed by the sniper rifle model created by Omar-ZX7. With more than 2,100 votes within less than a day. Most players awed by the level of detail present in the 3D printed model.

 Many also said that it bore an eerie resemblance to the gun from Halo 3. Additionally, there was a joke at the author’s idea to take pictures of the sniper rifle prop sitting on the couch. “I’m happy you’re at ease,” khakipants117 quipped.

Although this sniper created by Omar-ZX7 was impressive, it wasn’t the only weapon designed by ardent gamers and fans. One example is that a gamer 3D printed a model for the MK50 Sidekick pistol featured within Halo: Infinite.

 As gamers keep returning to this cult first-person shooter. It will be interesting to see what new creations by talented fans will share with gamers in the coming days.
