Central Vista Enclave Housing New PMO

Ahluwalia Contracts India Limited on Tuesday was named the bidder with the lowest price for the construction of the Executive Enclave as part of the Central Vista project that will house the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) as well as the cabinet secretariat India House and the National Security Council Secretariat as an official document revealed.

The company, headquartered in Delhi, the capital city of India, reported a figure of about Rs 1119 crore. This is 3.50 per cent less than the $1160-crore price estimated by the CPWD, which is executing its part in the Modi Government’s Central Vista Redevelopment plan.

Tata Projects Limited, which is building a brand-building that will be a Parliament building, listed the amount of Rs. 1,154 crore. NCC Limited quoted a bid sum of about Rs 1,158 crore, while Larsen & Toubro Limited around $1,317 crore, as the document stated.

A government official stated that the bidder with the lowest bid is generally chosen for the contract. The Board of Central Public Works Department (CPWD) will decide on the awarding of the tender within the coming days.

The CPWD estimated the cost of maintenance and construction for Executive Enclave at Rs 1,160.17 crore.

The Executive Enclave will be set up on the south end of the South Block in plot number 36/38 of the high-security area of Lutyens’ Delhi.

The bid document states that the new PMO will comprise three floors that are each 4.75 meters high and the ground and basement. The cabinet secretariat and Secretariat of the National Security Council Secretariat will be similar in an arrangement.

India House, which will comprise a separate floor and a basement and ground floor, is likely to serve as a conference venue similar to Hyderabad House, where high-level talks, particularly with high-level world leaders, are currently held.

As per the bid document of the CPWD, the project is expected to complete within 24 months from the beginning of the construction work.
“The (Executive) Enclave will be developed to increase effectiveness and efficiency by carefully planning the formation of departments that have a supporting infrastructure. This will guarantee top security and a high degree of interconnectivity within the Enclave and other offices located in Central Vista.

“Relocating these departments will provide efficient security procedures that protect VVIPs, VIPs and VIPs while not interrupting the normal movement of the public within and within central Vista,” the document reads. Central Vista,” the CPWD document says.

In October of last year, Larsen & Toubro Limited was given the contract to maintain and construct the three first structures that comprise the Common Central Secretariat.

Shapoorji Pallonji And Company Limited are carrying out the redevelopment on Central Vista Avenue. Central Vista Avenue stretches from Vijay Chowk to the India Gate.

The development of Central Vista, the nation’s power corridor, will include an entirely new parliament building and a central secretariat and a revamp of the 3 km Rajpath that runs from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, a new office and residence for the prime minister and an enclave for the vice president.
