Allahabad High Court Judge dies from COVID-19
Allahabad High Court Lucknow Court Judge Virendra Kumar Srivastava died of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Srivastava, who tested positive for coronavirus, was receiving treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Graduate Institute (SGPGI) in Lucknow.
In giving this information, Allahabad (Protocol) High Court Clerk Ashish Kumar Srivastava said that Judge Srivastava died at SGPGI on Wednesday.
The Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow court will remain closed on Thursday to mourn the death of Judge Srivastava.
Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed regret at the death of Judge Srivastava, the Uttar Pradesh government said in a statement issued in Lucknow on Wednesday.
