This time in Maharashtra, a person was infected with Omicron in India. Last month, the 33-year-old returned home from South Africa. With this, a new variant of Covid, Omicron, was found in the bodies of four people in India.

It is known that the infected young man has not yet received the corona vaccine. He arrived in Mumbai on November 24 from Cape Town, South Africa, via Dubai and Delhi.

A few days ago, he had a slight fever. Apart from this, no other symptoms were observed on the victim’s body.

A statement issued by the Maharashtra government said the victim was a resident of the Dombivli Township area. He is receiving treatment at a local Covid Care Center.

The corona test has already begun by identifying those who have contacted the young man.

Twelve Covid cohorts and twenty-three Covid cohorts were examined. Each of them reported negative.

Furthermore, the corona test report of 25 passengers on the Delhi to Mumbai flight was also negative.

In India, Karnataka was first found to be affected by two Omicron attacks. Unfortunately, one of them was a foreign citizen.

On Saturday, a 72-year-old man was found infected with Omicron in Jamnagar, Gujarat. After that, Omikron also found himself in Mumbai.

So far, variants of Omicron have been found in 31 countries worldwide. Of these, ten countries have the highest number of victims.
