Antonio Conte says Spurs have a ‘really good player’ who needs to improve.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte has described Harry Kane as a “really good player” who nevertheless needs to improve.

Tottenham quickly brought in the Italian manager as a replacement for Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Spurs started the season well below the Portuguese, but things were very good after the international break in September.

One of the main problems Tottenham has had this season is Kane’s relatively poor form in front of goal.

Tottenham’s talisman has only one Premier League goal to his name, though he has scored seven times in all competitions.

Conte made Romelu Lukaku famous by shooting full throttle while at Inter Milan, so fans are hoping he can do the same for Kane.

Speaking before the trip to Everton, the new Spurs boss said soccer, London: “They were talking [about] an important player not only for Tottenham but also for the national team.

“Harry is a really good player and for sure we have to work with him but with all the players to improve this situation.

“I have seen in a few days that we have to work hard to improve many aspects, for each player, not just one, two, or three.”

If any coach can bring Kane back to his best level, it is Conte, one of the best coaches in world football.
