Argentina has record numbers of COVID-19 cases per day.
According to the Ministry of Health, Argentina has again seen an unprecedented number of each day cases of the Covid-19 finding 139,853 new cases in 24 hours.
The number of deaths per day on Friday pushed the nation’s total to 6,932,972 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, and 96 deaths over the last 24 hours increased the number of deaths to 117,901.
Tuesday was a brand new record for daily cases with 134,439 cases as the country suffers its third outbreak caused by an Omicron version, Xinhua news agency reported.
In intensive care facilities, there were 2,268 patients admitted to hospitals with bed occupancy of 41.7 percent across the nation and 41.4 percent for Greater Buenos Aires.
Health minister Carla Vizzotti said the country this week had established a “vaccination record of 2.6 million doses administered” to combat Covid-19.
“We are working hard to improve the effectiveness of all shots,” the doctor said.
