The core of the Indian junior men’s hockey team probably Arshdeep Singh wants to pull a sheet out of senior player Ramandeep Singh’s book on how to handle injuries in his bid to seal a spot on the national side.

Singh, 19, missed the Six Nations Championship in Spain last year due to a knee injury. It is inspired by the way the striker for the Indian men’s hockey team Ramandeep has dealt with injuries in his international career.

“It was really disappointing to miss the Six Nations Championship in Spain last year. However, I have realized that injuries will be an integral part of any athlete’s career. I look at the way Ramandeep Singh has dealt with injuries in his career, “said Singh.

“He (Ramandeep) is an inspiration to all young hockey players in India. You need a lot of determination to come back from injuries and now I know how important it is to make sure that I continue to control how my body reacts in every situation, “said the young striker on a pitch for Indian Hockey.

Singh, who has attended several national training camps for young men, said he has focused on his fitness in recent months.

“The past few months have been a great challenge for all of us. However, I have taken the time to focus on my fitness. I know that I am close to receiving the opportunity to play for the Indian junior men’s team in the near future and I don’t want to miss the opportunity due to injury.

“I have also been practicing yoga to be mentally stronger. I have to be absolutely ready to take advantage of my opportunities whenever they arise, ”Singh said.

Speaking about his future goals, Singh said there is nothing greater than playing for the country.

“Playing for the senior team will always be my biggest goal. However, first I have to act at the junior level and be recognized as a skilled player. I will continue to work towards my goal in any way I can.

“I am sure that one day I will go out onto the field with the top-level Indian team. I will work very hard to make sure I have a chance to contribute to India’s famous victories in the future. ”
