The Crash Bandicoot franchise was incredibly big in the 90s. And has made a comeback recently with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

Now that the series is once again relevant to modern gamers. It may not be a surprise that Animal Crossing fans might interested in creating tributes to Crash and his friends.

They shared a screenshot of the part of their island made to look and feel like Crash Bandicoot. At first glance, the picture looks like a jungle with palm trees, floating platforms, and brightly glowing crates. The landscape looks a lot like the Wumpa Islands, with the 3D platforming areas that Crash Bandicoot know for.

The area includes a rectangular pond with small, squared-off islands featuring what seems to be drawings of the Crash Bandicoot platform designs leading the player forward. Not all Crash Bandicoot’s mutant animals are there, but the famous Wumpa Fruit and TNT crates display at the far end of the pond.

There are two ways to get there: off to the right, into the woods, and forward up to a large platform that looks like a red mushroom with white spots. On the left side of the pond, there are two glowing flowers. One is on the mushroom platform.

This isn’t the first Time an Animal Crossing player has tried to recreate a classic location from another game, but it may be one of the truest to the spirit of the original title. This writing looks like other fans are excited about the lord of gifts’ new project.

Several people thanked them for their hard work, and two people wanted to know how they made the glowing crates. The current theory is that the Lord of Gifts could change the color of the cube light furniture item, which is usually a single color.

It’s now possible to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch.
