Barcelona Finally, sign Spanish forward Torres from Man City

Barcelona Finally, sign Spanish forward Torres from Man City.

Spanish player Ferran Torres, a Spanish forward, has quit Manchester City and completed a permanent transfer to LaLiga club Barcelona. The two clubs said the two clubs announced on Tuesday.

The terms of the agreement were not made public. Still, British and Spanish media stated that Barcelona would pay approximately 55 million euros ($62.30 million) for the player and another 10 million euros for additional fees.

Barca confirmed that Torres is signed on a deal that will run until June 2027. After that, Spain international will be protected by an option to release one billion euros.

“Hello Curlers, I am delighted to announce today that I’ll join the club. I hope to see you shortly,” Torres said in the video.

In August, Torres came to City of Spain’s Valencia for a five-year contract. He played 43 times for the top English club in all competitions. He scored 16 goals.

Barcelona was forced to let their all-time top-scoring player Lionel Messi leave the club in 2014 because of “financial and structural difficulties” and have debts of over 1.35 billion euro.

Barca’s offensive options have been diminished further by the departure of Argentine forward Sergio Aguero at the age of 33 because of a heart problem.

Torres hasn’t been in action since sustaining an injury to his foot during the Spanish’s UEFA Nations League final defeat by France in October. Torres, 21, had scored 12 times throughout 22 international matches.

Barcelona is seventh on LaLiga following a disappointing beginning to the season. It led to the dismissal of manager Ronald Koeman, with former captain of the club Xavi Hernandez replacing Koeman.
