Bethesda delivered flowers to “Skyrim’s” grandma: YouTuber Shirley Curry, better known as Skyrim Grandma, had a stroke while sleeping. Her fans have been worried about her health. Now, Bethesda, the company that makes Skyrim, has sent her a beautiful bouquet.
She started her YouTube channel in 2011 and has been playing Skyrim since then, posting videos of herself playing the game and reading from her new book, The Listener, based on one of her in-game storylines. Curry told her fans on February 25 that she had a stroke in her sleep after one fan asked about her health. A few more things: She told us that she has forgotten how to play Skyrim and that she’ll be getting therapy to help her recover.
Curry filmed a vlog just after posting another video about her stroke. In the video, she showed off a beautiful bouquet from Skyrim game developer Bethesda. The bouquet comprises many different flowers, like roses, sunflowers, and others. She shows the bouquet to the camera. Video: “I’m so proud of them.” So happy that they would do this for me.
Seeing all of the love Curry has been getting is excellent. Especially since she had to take a break from YouTube because of the mean comments she got on her videos. These days, her fans have been sending her many lovely messages, wishing her well after she had a stroke. She has been trying to keep giving them exciting things to read.
Fan reactions to the news that she had a stroke were very concerned because she has been a positive light in the video game world on YouTube since she first started posting her videos on the site. They also made her an N.P.C. in the new Elder Scrolls game because of her love and perseverance. Any good that comes out of all the bad is a good reward for all the good she does.
