Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said today, a day after an RPG-like assault against Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali, anybody who sought to destabilize the state’s environment would not be spared.
“Punjab Police are investigating the explosion in Mohali. Anyone who tries to degrade Punjab’s environment would not be spared, “Mr. Mann said.
Arvind Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in power in Punjab, called it a shameful crime and promised that all perpetrators would face heavy punishment.

“The bombing in Mohali was a despicable act by people who want to disrupt Punjab’s tranquillity. The Punjab government of the Aam Aadmi Party would not grant those people’s requests. Peace will be preserved under all circumstances with the help of all Punjabis, and the perpetrators will be severely punished, “He sent out a tweet.
A rocket-propelled grenade, or RPG, was launched from the street in the Monday night assault, police said, adding that the explosion was minor. According to them, the RPG smashed panes at the Punjab Police intelligence headquarters.
“At about 7.45 p.m., a small explosion was detected at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in SAS Nagar’s sector 77. There has been no damage recorded. Senior cops have arrived on the scene and are conducting an investigation. The police have sent forensic teams. “In a statement, the Mohali police stated.
