Big Explosives Recovery In Kashmir's Pulwama Ahead Of Independence Day

On Wednesday, at the Tahab Crossing on the Circular Road in Pulwama, Union Territory, the Jammu and Kashmir Police discovered roughly 25 to 30 kilogramme of an improvised explosive device (IED).

Days before India’s 75th Independence Day, authorities said a significant catastrophe had been avoided.

“The Police and Security Forces in Pulwama discovered an IED that weighed around 25 to 30 kg close to Tahab Crossing on Circular Road. A significant catastrophe was avoided because of the detailed information provided by the Pulwama Police, “said Vijay Kumar, Kashmir’s ADGP (Additional Director General of Police).

An IED attack on Independence Day was planned when the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) detained a terrorist with ties to ISIS from Mubarakpur in Azamgarh.

Under pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Arms Act, a case has been filed in Lucknow against Sabauddin.
