In the lead-up to the Goa Assembly elections, Congress MP and leader Rahul Gandhi
claimed that Goa’s fight is only between two parties: the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and
the Congress and not any other political party.
“The battle will be one between Congress as well as BJP as opposed to any other party, so
don’t waste your vote,” while addressing a virtual rally that was held at Sankhali
(Sanquelim) that is the home for BJP , the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
In his attack on BJP and BJP, he stated that BJP had been a total failure in COVID-19
management, livelihoods, and tourism.
Furthermore, in announcing claims that the Congress party will constitute Goa’s
government, he said: Goa said, “With an overwhelming majority, Congress will form
government in Goa. We would like to see the Congress party form a government with
complete of the majority Goa with the support of the voters.”
“I urge you to support the government that is listening to you,” he added.
He added, “This is the first time Congress took a strong position not to issue tickets to
those who have stabbed us. We have offered tickets to the newcomers. With the majority
of the votes, Congress will form a government in Goa.”
In the early hours of today, all 40 candidates from Congress and Goa Forward Party on
Friday committed to being in unison and being faithful towards Congress when they were in
front in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, as per in a press release.
Goa will be going to the Assembly elections on the 14th of February.
Voting will be conducted on March 10.
