BJP Victories in Gujarat Municipalities and panchayats Election.
The BJP had a huge success in the municipal and district panchayat elections in Gujarat as well as in the Purnigam elections. The main opposition party, the Congress, is virtually wiped out. They have had the worst results in the recent past. Significantly, for the first time, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has won seats in Gujarat’s municipal and district panchayats. More importantly, Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has opened a book in Godhra, the epicenter of the Gujarat riots.
A few years ago, a total of 31 district panchayats, 61 municipalities, and 231 taluka panchayats were elected in Gujarat. 31 district panchayats have been taken over by BJP. In most cases, the results are virtually one-sided. In many district panchayats, the number of Congress seats did not exceed 2 digits. The total number of seats won by the BJP in the district panchayat is 6. Only 16 of the Congress. On the other hand, 64 of the municipalities have been taken over by the BJP. Only one in the possession of the Congress. 6 municipalities are triangular. Out of the total 2820 seats in the municipality, BJP alone has won 2063 seats. Only 365 have been taken over by Congress.
Out of 231 taluka panchayats, 198 have been taken over by Gerua Shibir. The Congress has won only 16, the trio has won 15. Out of 482 tehsils, BJP has won 3322. Congress won 1243 seats. Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has opened a book in Godhra, the epicenter of the significant Gujarat riots. In Godhra, they won only 6 seats and won 6 seats. Mim also won seats in Modasa and Baruch.
Results of the Nagar Palika, Taluka Panchayat and District Panchayat polls across Gujarat give a crystal clear message- Gujarat is firmly with the BJP’s agenda of development and good governance. I bow to the people of Gujarat for the unwavering faith and affection towards BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is naturally overwhelmed by this huge success in the cities and rural areas of his state. He said on Twitter, “The results of the rural and urban polls clearly show that the whole of Gujarat is on the BJP’s development and good governance agenda.” I am kneeling with the people of Gujarat for our unimaginable support. ”
