Bomb Explode in Trinamool leader’s house during making of it
One person was seriously injured in the bomb blast in Mallarpur: It has been alleged that the man was injured while planting a bomb at the house of a local Trinamool (TMC) leader. Locals complained that the scene was cleared before police arrived, despite fears of more casualties.
The accident took place at Banashpur village in the Mallarpur area of Birbhum on Monday night. Police arrested a grassroots leader of the area in connection with the incident. However, the Trinamool leader claimed that the bombing was not aimed at his house but at them. The Trinamool leader claimed that everything will be known only after investigation.
BJP’s Mayureshwar B Mandal president Sushanti alleged that two people were killed in the blast, but Trinamool Bloc president and Mayureshwar assembly candidate Abhijit Roy removed their bodies. The Trinamool wants to create an atmosphere of terror just like the panchayat elections.
Dismissing the allegations against them, the Trinamool Bloc president said, “I have heard about the incident. However, whether they were planting bombs there or whether bombs were hurled at them will be known only after an investigation. However, Mallarpur police arrested Anai Sheikh in the incident.
Locals said a bomb was being planted at the house of Anai Sheikh, president of the minority cell, on Monday night. At that time, German Sheikh, a grassroots activist, was injured in the blast. He was first taken to a local hospital but later shifted to a hospital in Burdwan for treatment. A few more died here. But after receiving the news of the incident, the police of Mallarpur police station alleged that the place was cleared before they reached there.
