BSF Beat up Trinamul Activists in Gaighata
The Chief Minister was accused of abusing and beating grassroots activists against the border guards. The incident took place on Tuesday in Balanchi area of Ramnagar gram panchayat of Gaighata police station. Several people were injured. Long after the incident, there is still tension in the area.
Allegedly, at that time, the border guards stopped their vehicle in front of the Balanchi border post. Trinamool activists were allegedly beaten when they protested. Several bikes were also vandalized. It is alleged that even the name of the Chief Minister was insulted. A thunderstorm situation was created in the area. Several people were seriously injured.
The injured grassroots workers were rushed to Chandpara Health Center. The doctors released them after initial treatment there. It is learned that a written complaint has already been lodged at Gaighata police station. The BJP has already marched on the road demanding the Trinamool Congress. The border guards did not say anything at that time. The attack is politically motivated. BJP leaders said, “We don’t know anything about this.”
