California church shooting killed 1 and 5 injured.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department says one person was killed and five people were wounded in a shooting at a church in the western US state of California on Sunday.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting occurred at the church in the 24000 block of El Toro Road in the City of Laguna Woods in Southern California’s Orange County on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies were responding to allegations of a gunshot, the sheriff’s department tweeted about 2:00 p.m. local time.

It was then added that “At 1:26 p.m., dispatch received reports of a gunshot inside Geneva Presbyterian Church. Four people were badly injured, while one received moderate injuries.”
“All of the casualties are adults going to the hospital. One of the victims died on the spot, “the department said. The sheriff’s department said it had apprehended a suspect and discovered a firearm that might have been involved.
Following the incident, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office tweeted, “We’re keeping a close eye on the church shooting in Laguna Woods and collaborating with local law enforcement. No one should be afraid of visiting their place of worship. Our hearts go out to the victims, the community, and everyone affected by this awful occurrence.”
