Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile: When Activision saw how popular games like PUBG, Fortnite, and Apex Legends had become, they made Call of Duty: Warzone.
If you want to play a free battle royale game that lets you play with people from other games, you can do that, too. You can play with people from Black Ops: Cold War, Vanguard, and the new version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that came out in 2019.
Activision has confirmed what many people already thought, announcing that Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile. The publisher hasn’t said when the game would be out. Activision is looking for developers and product managers who have worked on mobile games.
A tweet from Activision on Thursday afternoon said both that the port was open and that there were available jobs. Unfortunately, the company didn’t say when it might be out or give any other specifics.
There was an announcement on the Call of Duty website with the tweet. Sadly, it didn’t give us a lot more information about how the port would grow.
It’s also possible that the company is still putting together a team of developers, which means that the mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone is still a long way off.
At least, the post had a list of jobs that were still open. Activision is looking for Network Programmers, System Programmers, UI Programmers, UI Artists, Producers, and Product Managers to help make Call of Duty: Warzone.
They also need people to help make the game. Several of Activision’s other companies make these jobs available. Solid State Studios, Beenox, Digital Legends and Demonware are just a few.
In 2020, Activision announced that they were looking for people to work on a project called WSM. This was the first time we heard about the mobile port of Call of Duty: Warzone. The posting also talked about moving essential parts of Warzone to mobile platforms.
In December, there was a supposed insider leak, which confirmed this. The latter said that the Warzone port would be out in 2022 after a mobile game playtesting service was put in its database. However, Activision hasn’t sure that Call of Duty: Warzone will be available for mobile this year.
Activision hasn’t said much about the game, but it’s not surprising that it went this way. Warzone’s competitors, PUBG, Fortnite, and Apex Legends Mobile, are already mobile.
Apex Legends Mobile has soft-launched in several countries. Activision makes sense because they want to get into the battle royale market on mobile phones.
Call of Duty: Mobile was also a big hit for the company. The 2019 game already has a battle royale mode, and it has a score of 81 on Metacritic.
In the long run, this is a good thing for the Call of Duty: Warzone mobile port because it’s still too early to make any predictions.
