Canada PM Justin Trudeau tests Covid Positive amid truckers’ protests.
Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau said Monday he was positive for COVID-19. However, Trudeau said he is “feeling fine” and will continue to work at a distance.
The announcement was made in an Instagram post in which Trudeau encouraged everyone to “please get vaccinated and get boosted”.
Trudeau announced on Thursday he would be in an isolation period of five days following having discovered the previous night that he was in contact with someone positive for the test.
Trudeau told The Canadian Press that the person was one of his three children on Friday.
Trudeau was isolated at home during the beginning of the epidemic after his wife was positive.
In addition, Canada is among the top rates of coronavirus vaccination shots specifically intended to prevent people infected from becoming seriously sick.
The announcement came on the heels of a weekend of protests across Canada’s capital city, Ottawa, against vaccine mandates masks, lockdowns and mandates.
A few demonstrators traveled in truck convoys , and were parked in the streets around Parliament Hill, blocking traffic.
