Coco Gauff reaches to quarterfinals of bett1open in Germany. 

Seventh-seeded Coco Gauff defeated Xinyu Wang 6-0, 6-4 in 63 minutes on Thursday to move to the quarterfinals of the bett1open in Berlin.

In the victory, Gauff won 82.1 percent of her first serves. She will face No. 4 Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

1st seed Tunisian Ons Jabeur advanced by defeating Alycia Parks 6-2, 7-6 (8). Then, in one hour and 55 minutes, Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic defeated Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.

Unseeded Veronika Kudermetova of Russia reached the quarterfinals, defeating Liudmila Samsonova of Russia 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-1. Bencic is drawn to the quarterfinals by Kudermetova.

Top-seeded In Birmingham, Great Britain, Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia lost in the Round of 16 against Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 in two hours and 15 minutes.

Yastremska advances to the quarterfinals, where she will face Shuai Zhang of China, who defeated Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.

Seed No. 3 Camila Giorgi of Italy progressed after defeating Lauren Davis 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in two hours and 24 minutes.

Beatriz Haddad Maia and Magdalena Frech’s match was called off in the third set, with Frech leading 1-6, 7-5, 4-2.
