Kevin Pietersen, the former England captain, mocked the India team for widely beating what he called “England B” in the second round of the four-game series in a cheeky congratulatory message on Tuesday.
India returned to the series with a landslide 317-run victory to restore parity after the setback in the opener. England had won the first round by 227 races at Chennai.
“Badhai ho india, England B Ko harane ke liye (Congratulations to India, for beating England B,” Pietersen wrote on his Twitter account shortly after the home team’s victory.

Responding to Pietersen’s tweet, former Uttarakhand coach Wasim Jaffer wrote: “Don’t fool the guys at KP. Just try to be funny. And I understand it. I mean, is it even a full England team if there are no SA players?
“Exactly, Trott is there and Kallis was there,” Pietersen replied jokingly.
Exactly! Trott is there and Kallis was there! ?????

After that, the former star hitter again lashed out at the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the strange move of continuing their rotation policy even for such a massive visitor series.
“You don’t pick your best team in the hardest place to WIN a test match, you can’t really even show them emotion,” Pietersen wrote.
He also expressed surprise at the England team management’s decision to send experienced spinning bowler Moeen Ali back after the second match, in which he collected eight wickets (four in each inning).
“We played in 2005 on terrestrial TV and BEAT Aus (Australia). It changed the game of cricket in this country. Cricket is back on terrestrial television for this HUGE series and England don’t pick their best team for it.
“Moeen Ali is now going home after ONE test. Wow, ”Pietersen wondered.

Having lost the first Test by 227 runs, India inflicted an embarrassing defeat on the visitors in the second match not only to return to the series in style, but also to compete for a place in the inaugural Test World Champion final against New Zeeland at Lord’s in June.
As part of the rotation policy introduced by the ECB to keep all its players in top physical condition in the T20 World Cup year, England rested veteran pacemaker James Anderson for the second test, despite losing Jofra Archer with an elbow injury just before the game.
India was defeated by Anderson’s reverse swing on the fifth day of the first test.
Among other great players, England also sent Jos Buttler back after victory in the first game of the series as he rested on spinner Dom Bess for the second game.
