Covid-19 cases in Mumbai Reported 2510 new cases in the last 24 hours.  

Mumbai: As part of a dramatic increase in cases of Covid-19, Mumbai recorded 2,510 new Covid cases within the last 24 hours. The city yesterday reported 1,377 cases. 

This implies that there’s an 82% increase in one day. Alarm bells have been in the air. However, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray advised people not to be worried.

Amid the call for people to be careful, Aaditya Thackeray took to Twitter to say, “Seeing the escalating number of cases of Covid-19 being reported in Mumbai We held an appointment with the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) to discuss the situation, discuss preparations for the upcoming vaccination, and to prepare for the vaccine for people aged 15-18, which we plan to administer beginning in January. I would advise you to be cautious and not panic but to exercise the greatest precautions.”

With a focus on vaccination of children, Thackeray said, “In the next 48 hours, BMC will be connecting with all schools in the city to arrange an organized vaccination campaign for everyone who is between 15 and 18 old. 

In the early months of De,cember I wrote to the health minister of the union I stressed the importance of this.” “We have also requested all covid care Jumbo centers to be on ready and at all levels of readiness as well as basic medical infrastructure facilities. In addition, the protocols for testing and tracing, for all facilities that were in operation throughout, were also reviewed,” he added.

In the meantime, in light of a growing Omicron fear and a rising Omicron threat, the Maharashtra government earlier had released guidelines on the New Year’s festivities. 

The aim is to keep the festivities in check and keep them under control so that there is less chance of the spread of Covid-19.

Alongside Mumbai and Delhi, the capital Delhi has also experienced an astronomical increase in cases of Covid-19 today. 

Delhi today recorded 923 cases of coronavirus, which is an increase of 86 percent when from yesterday’s numbers, the largest single-day increase in the last six months. 

The positivity rate increased to 1.29 percent, up from 0.89 percent on Tuesday. There was no new fatality announced, according to the bulletin.
