Crimea Airbase Blast kill 1 and injured 9 people.
Sergei Aksyonov, the leader of Russia’s administration in Crimea, said on Tuesday that one person had died in an explosion at a military airfield in Saky in the Crimean peninsula under Russian control.
According to the Moscow defense ministry, the explosion resulted from aircraft munitions detonating, not an assault.
Around 3:20 p.m. local time (12:20 GMT), witnesses reported hearing at least 12 explosions from the Saky air base. Russia was captured from Ukraine in 2014 and used as one of the bases for its assault in February.
