At the current Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, the Indian men’s table tennis team kept up their winning by beating Nigeria with a score of 3-0 in the semifinal. The Indian paddlers once again outperformed themselves, preventing Nigeria from winning any games.

The Indian team of Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran easily defeated Bode Abiodun and Olajide Omotayo in the first tie match 11-6, 11-7, and 11-7. They took a 1-0 lead against India after this victory.

Achanta Sharath Kamal of India beat Aruna Quadri of Nigeria 3-1 in the next tie game, giving India a 2-0 lead in the table tennis men’s team semifinal.

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeated Olajide Omotayo in the opening game of the third match. Although it was a tight game, the Indian paddler won with a final score of 11-9. In the men’s singles match, Sathiyan defeated Olajide Omotayo 11-9, 4-11, 11-6, and 11-8 to help India beat Nigeria 3-0 and go to the final against Singapore.
