Cyclone Asani is moving towards Odisha and Andhra.

Cyclone Asani live location is moving towards northwestwards through the night of May 10 and make landfall in the west-central Bay of Bengal off the beaches of North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

From Tuesday, severe to very heavy rains are forecast in the coastal area.

It will most likely recurve north-northeastwards and move into the northwest Bay of Bengal off the coastlines of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

According to the most current meteorological report, as of 2.30 a.m. on May 10, Cyclone Asani was centered over west-central and bordering the southwest Bay of Bengal.

 

It is 330 kilometers southeast of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, and 510 kilometers south-southwest of Gopalpur, Odisha.

During Cyclone Asani in the Bay of Bengal, beach guards at Puri beach warn people not to go near the water. 

“During the previous 06 hours, the Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Asani’ over Westcentral and adjoining the southwest Bay of Bengal traveled west-northwestwards at a speed of 07 kmph and was centered at 0230 hours IST today, the May 10, over Westcentral and neighboring southwest Bay of Bengal. 

“It is located 330 kilometers southeast of Kakinada, 350 kilometers southeast of Visakhapatnam, 510 kilometers southwest of Gopalpur, and 590 kilometers southwest of Puri (Odisha),” According to the bulletin.
