A day earlier, the leader of the Delhi BJP, Kapil Mishra, had met with Sharma’s family to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore, and alleged that the young man was attacked and killed for participating in the collection of construction donations. of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Pragya Thakur, the BJP deputy from Bhopal also met with his family in Mangolpuri and expressed his support and sympathy, said an aide to the deputy.
Police have denied any community angles to the young man’s murder in Mangolpuri last week, although leaders of the BJP, VHP and Bajrang Dal have been charging that it was the result of his involvement in a donation drive for the Ram temple.

“I met with Rinku Sharma’s family to express my condolences. As mayor, I made the announcement there that the ” chowk ” near his home will be named after him,” Prakash said.

“I also call on the Delhi government to release Rs 1 crore as compensation to his family,” he said.
The mayor condemned Sharma’s murder and demanded that the strictest measures be taken against the culprits.
“The North Delhi Municipal Corporation will appoint Mangolpuri chowk on behalf of the deceased, Rinku Sharma, for which the area councilor Raj Prakash will present a proposal,” he later said in a statement issued by his office.
Police arrested five people in connection with the murder of Sharma, 25. The case has been transferred from the local police to the Crime Section of the Delhi Police.
